HSBC Guyerzeller Bank AG has been closely linked with the Geneva International Equestrian Competition since 2003. Our bank's founder, Adolf Guyer-Zeller, was not only an industrial pioneer, he was also passionate about horses. For this reason, we strive to cultivate this tradition and lend our support to some of the most prestigious events in this domain.

The sole Swiss leg of the Showjumping World Cup, this internationally renowned event attracts an enthusiastic crowd of supporters from all over the world. Named the World No. 1 Indoor Equestrian Competition on three separate occasions (in 95/96, 01/02 and 03/04), it is highly prized by some of the best names in the sport, who appreciate the infrastructure of the Palexpo, the variety of the fences, and the warm welcome they receive from the general public. For many years it has been the venue for the final of the TopTen, which sees the ten best riders in the world come face to face.

The sport of kings, equestrianism demands an extremely high level of self-discipline and professionalism. Victory is never celebrated alone, but as part of a team, principally between a rider and his steed. It is not without parallels with our wealth management business.
