Noble due to the horses, spectacular due to the riders, exclusive due to the spectators: that’s Polo


Again this year, Saanen’s magnificent scenery was able to attract many of the world’s best polo players and HSBC Guyerzeller Bank was proud to take over the leading sponsorship of the Gstaad Polo Cup for the first time. The HSBC Guyerzeller Polo Team of Basle-born Philipp Maeder achieved the third place. The HSBC Guyerzeller Polo Team was the outstanding side in the hard-fought match for 3rd and 4th place which was eventually won by our team. Once again the convincing factor in Maeder's team was the superb teamwork and the balance between players Federico Bachmann, Pablo Jauretche and Francisco Fucci.



The polo matches were played under perfect weather conditions on the playing field right next to the airstrip in Saanen over the weekend of the 18 / 19 August 2007. The top-notch player list of the HSBC Guyerzeller Polo Gold Cup in Gstaad that is part of the World Polo Tour WPT as a Challenge Event included some real gems from Argentina.
